“Kevin was fantastic from our first meeting and he made the entire process of renovating much smoother for us. We transformed our house into a 4 bd, play room, and 3 bathroom house. Kevin took my wife and I through the design process and it was amazing. He began by spending 2 hrs the first time we met, sitting at our dining table, after kids were in bed. During this time he was getting to understand us and to get a feel for our lifestyle to work out what was important to us. Once we had the brief done then he came back for another 2hr session, again after the kids were in bed, and he presented us with options. To be honest we fell in love with the sketches and it felt like he had been reading our minds. It was unbelievable. Kevin then helped us with the tender process and I still recall the reactions from the builders with respects to the degree of detail in the drawings. This allows the builders to provide more accurate estimates and it would lead to fewer disputes during the build process. This saved me on a number of occasions. Thank you Kevin and Jeff for making our dream home become a reality.”

“Mario Tascone and his team designed the house that we are currently building. We went to him with a concept of what we wanted to achieve with the block that we had, and he developed our concept through several iterations to the final design. He then prepared all of the working drawings required for building approvals and for actual construction. We were very happy with the service provided by Mario and his team, if we challenged aspects of the design he was not defensive, but instead listened and took our comments into consideration for the next iteration of the design. “Distinct Building Design (DBD) were one of two companies we contacted to design our new home. We selected them on the basis that they fully understood our requirements for a two-storey, 3-bedroom home which left plenty of room for a back garden. They submitted an initial design which, by and large, is the home we ended up with. The other company, for whatever reason, couldn't/wouldn't do this, insisting on 4 bedrooms, with bedrooms on the ground floor and living upstairs. DBD recommended bathroom and kitchen designers as well as suppliers of tiles and all other hardware as the build progressed. They were very pro-active, with the design, during the construction period. The result was a wonderful home that we are extremely pleased with and would be happy to recommend DBD to other prospective users.”
