First of all, they seemed to actually want my business and they set an appointment to come give an estimate. The rep had a good knowledge of the process and was very friendly and professional. The pricing was straight forward and came in way below the other companies, even for the low-lead Starphire glass. There were ZERO surprises which is a very good thing. From the time of estimate to installation it was only about 10 days, fast! The result is great! Installation wasn't more than 90 minutes. I couldn't be happier with this decision. “We took a number of bids from other stair companies and Pike Stair was the only company who said they could do the work we wanted the way we wanted it. Other stair companies "insisted" what we wanted could not be done. In addition, Pike was not the most expensive, and because they said they could do "the impossible", I did have concerns and told the owner about them. He assured me it was going to be done. Once construction began it was discovered my house was not built to code 35 years ago and this caused some problems with installation. In my head I thought, "I knew there were going to be overruns." However, the owner and I discussed the issues and the lack of code was a surprise to him as well as I. We came to a very reasonable agreement on how much extra it was going to cost. I watched on a number of days the work ethic of both Eric Pike and Hanno. I was truly amazed at how hard they worked on such a hard project. Their personal dignity is truly part of the work they do. Doing poor work humiliates them and so they will never allow that to happen even if the "poor work" is in the "eye of the homeowner." I would hire them again and again and attempted to do so, but ran out of money on other improvement projects. When I have the money again I won't even call around as Pike was the only one who wanted to get me what I wanted the way I wanted it. BTW, the stairs came out beautiful. I could not have been more satisfied. In other words they did the impossible for a good price and would not leave a concern unanswered and fixed.”

“Ken did an excellent job redoing my fencing. I had estimates from a fencing company of $4100 to replace my fence which is a combination of vinyl, wood and brick. Ken was able to recycle some materials, and then repair, repaint and improve this fence making it look brand new and beautiful for an extremely low price in a short period of time. I've had a number of compliments already from my neighbors. I will definitely call him first for any handyman work I may need in the future.”
