I get a lot of requests for storage on the front of the island as well as stools. The stained upper cabinets framed in the drywall soffit is nice, and it looks like they raised the uppers above the typical 18" between the countertop and the bottom of the upper cabinets. Nice for a continuous line over a sink where 18" isn't usually enough...
