Fabulous Gabriel Oak, Rojas. Either you just hit the perfect summer temperatures or perhaps maturity plays a part?

DA’s size estimates are wildly optimistic at best. Perhaps in the perfect temperate climate with full sun exposure (as opposed to climbing towards light/against a fence) and regular hard pruning some might stay closer to stated size. I think they downplay sizes to sell roses though, since ’compact and bushy’ is more appealing to most than ’octopus monster’!

I keep wondering how long DA maintains their sales with hardly any new releases. No more DA's for me unless they release a proper scented one.

Me too in the process of culling/ planting cycle as I can, Nollie. Marie Dermar did not wow me and was replaced by WOH which was bought as bare root last yr. To be honest, I dint see much blooms from it as a small potted specimen.. hoping it would do better in the ground..

Gruss an Teplitz had to go.. too much black spot.. and tiny blooms.. scent was amazing though..

Back from a vacation to this today.. not roses, but was overjoyed seeing such nice colour so late in the season with hardy Chrysanthemums..

Dixter Orange (Long season among the hardy ones.. in fact this is past it's prime and re-blooming with no deadheading at all)

Apollo -among the slightly taller ones (planted begining of this or end of last year)

Innocence

Ruby Mound

Bounty Blanc- second year-- such a large Bouquet effect in person

Spartan Canary

Nanty Derry Sunshine

Colour mutation on one of the yellows

Yes all in the ground @Rojas

shorter ones have much more bouquet effect as tall ones can appear lopsided with the wind..
