The floors look in good condition so depending on the budget you may or may not want to replace them. Here’s a couple of ideas for both current flooring and new flooring.

I would vent to the outside above the window but I am more of a function over form sort of person. Paint the vent to match the color of the house. A down draft vent was not going to cut it with our range and how we cook.
We have log house. Our hood vents out the roof and is at the front of the house. No way around it. We painted the vent green to help it blend in a little better with the roof. We also have a satellite dish on the front of the house. Not thrilled about it but we had no other choice unless we wanted it on the roof at the front of the house which we did not. Our range is on an outside wall and cabinets cover the ductwork that goes up through the roof.

For the part inside the porch, I'd tie it to the porch: use the same Dove White board and batten so the small space stays bright. On the outside, I'd pick the green or French Canvas from your existing palette so the bump out looks like it was always there. I'd hold off on painting the brick until the new work is done, so you can see how it all sits together.
For the wall that sits inside the porch, I'd tie it to the porch — repeating that board and batten makes the space feel intentional instead of like an old exterior wall that got enclosed. On the outside, paint a couple of large sample boards and look at them against the brick in morning and afternoon light, because greens and warm neutrals can shift a lot next to 60s brick. If you're leaning toward mineral paint or a German schmear on the brick, do a small test patch somewhere out of sight first, since both are very hard to undo once they're on. I work with The Great House, a remodeling company in McLean — happy to help or take a look if useful.
