My next project: Whole house remodel, for the purpose of a well-functioning home for our family...particularly for those whom I homeschool here (and the teacher!) ...and a place of refuge for my husband who has worked on the front lines as a sailor/medical officer for 24 years and who now works long, demanding hours in his new job, on new front health-care lines.
About me: Daughter of Irish immigrants, graduate of The Catholic University of America, BA Politics, Navy Spouse of 25 years, homeschooling mother of six, and occasional freelance writer and editor...most recently for Coronado365, and previously for Coastal Magazine of the San Diego Union Tribune and Navy Marine Corps Relief Society. The family I grew up in is a property management family. My dad was a building manager on Park Avenue in NYC and my brothers have followed suit. One is involved in commercial property management throughout NYC and the other is involved in property management for parishes, synagogues, retreat homes, and shrines from PA, NJ, CT, and throughout NYC and state. Property and real estate is in our blood. I am my happiest (professionally) when I am writing about architecture, historic preservation, and designs and remodels. I get my energy from being with my and my husband's extended family throughout the world. My greatest work of art is the family I have built with my husband, Mike. We've been married for 25 years and we have six amazing children. My family is my greatest blessing.
