Our House Before - when we bought it

These pics were taken of our 1890's Miner's cottage when we did an inspection before buying it and some were from the real estate agents listing. As you can see, it was in need of some love.
We spent about 3 years living in it before embarking on a major renovation/extension. This really helped us to know what we loved and didn't love about our home. (See other projects for renovation.)

Tiny bathroom, there was just enough room to open the door...we kept the door in the same place, but now it opens onto a 2.7mx3.3m spacious bathroom with freestanding bath and separate 1m square shower. Also added a toilet.

Fireplace built into old chimney. We have added a lovely mantle piece and replaced the flue, but still some work to do here on hearth etc.
