#2: This layout works better for me. There’s at least a semblance of organization here. But I want wood shelves, rather than that painted gray stuff, and a gray quartz countertop that matches the one in the kitchen. Blend the rustic attributes of #1 with the more agreeable aspects of this space and you'd be on the right track.
