Melbourne’s boutique interior design studio, Aletta Interiors, has recently completed yet another stunning renovation. The project is situated in Seville, in the lush Yarra Ranges east of Melbourne.

The design brief requested a modern, functional kitchen and laundry suitable for a small family, while still being sympathetic to the existing country style home. The hillside view from the kitchen window was to be the central point of focus, with the heirloom dining table retaining its prime position. To accommodate the family’s active outdoor lifestyle, all finishes were selected to be both durable and low-maintenance.

The inspiration for the project was drawn from the home’s picturesque location in the Yarra Ranges, nestled amidst rolling hills, eucalyptus trees and farmlands. To reflect the natural beauty of the surroundings, a gentle grey-green colour scheme with timber features was chosen.

To add a tactile quality and finish, our Chelsea handles were selected for both the laundry and kitchen. The Chelsea range offers a classic T-bar style that complements the transitional style, along with a knurled finish that adds a modern touch. Since the cabinetry and benchtop have smooth finishes that promote a clean feel, the addition of these handles creates a pleasant and physical connection to the space.
