The client wished to have a cooktop located on the island benchtop, however did not want a canopy rangehood. She also loves to entertain and allowing her kids to have their meals at the kitchen table. A true central hub for their home.

A bulkhead, with LED lights was designed above the island bench as a feature of the kitchen and a ceiling cassette rangehood was installed. The overhang of the island benchtop wrapped around the benchtop to ensure there is plenty of space for her kids, family and friends.
