Shaker cabinets in a contemporary grey maintain a traditional feel in this kitchen, whilst bringing it up to date. A butchers' block-topped island adds warmth and character, whilst on other surfaces resin tops keep the look clean and simple.

The traditional feel was further enhanced by the use of random lengths of tumbled limestone for the floor. A bare brick feature fireplace with a heavy wood mantelpiece was retained to add further contrast and character.

A long but narrow bespoke table was commissioned to make the most of the space between the windows, and bespoke artwork adds a quirky touch.
