Enmore, NSW
A crafted pavilion augments an existing post-war bungalow in Sydney’s Inner West. The form was conceived as a canopy, soaring over a solid masonry shell. Raw materials including steel, timber and face brick have been purposefully expressed to provide a vibrant living space to the rear of the home.
The floating roof form and extensive use of glazing allow the kitchen, study and living spaces to be filled with natural light.
Throughout the day, the changing qualities of light and reflected hues from the brightly - coloured interiors strengthen the relationship between the interior and the surrounding environment, and fill the space with delight.
