It is important to work with designers and builders who understand energy efficient design principles, know how the different components in a house work together and use computer modelling to understand a home’s energy performances before it is built. This display home was designed to be a comfortable home to live in and a very cost effective home to run. The clever design, orientation and the materials we used have created a high energy rated home for the temperate climate of North- East Victoria. Proper Insulation and uPVC windows are just a couple of the features that have created this home that supports a more sustainable lifestyle and most of all creates a comfortable home to live in all year round with a lot less heating and cooling required. This home was a finalist at HIA Green Smart Australia awards in 2018 and was also a finalist for a best kitchen in a display home.
