Glassford Street Residence, Melbourne

Behind the façade of this heritage-listed residence in Melbourne’s suburbs, lies a beautifully executed, timeless combination of old and new, conceived by Eve Edwards from Alison Dodds Architect.

Rather than replicate the period style, an abstract form complements the original structure and defines the old and new, while carefully selected materials connect the two architectural styles seamlessly. Internally, the emphasis is on natural and textural materials.

Timber and limestone paired with a monochromatic colour palette create a classic feel, while beautiful natural lighting, and carefully considered landscaping by Ben Scott Garden Design, connect the indoors and outdoors.

Pieces from apaiser’s Oman Collection feature in the residence’s master bathroom. The organic forms and warm grey ‘Nimbus’ finish, reflect the timeless restraint and confident design showcased throughout this stunning home.
