The existing Victorian facade was painted in white graffiti proof paint with black fence and window details

The existing Victorian facade was painted in white graffiti proof paint. The new black steel contemporary extension roof is separated from the existing wall by a strip of glass

The existing Victorian facade was painted in white graffiti proof paint. The new black steel contemporary extension roof is separated from the existing wall by a strip of glass, and a new timber and steel gate is inserted.

The old Victorian stair was replace by a new oak one with concealed stringer and a powdercoated steel handrail.

We joined the two front rooms to make the main bedroom, en suite and walk in robe. The new width of the main bedroom allows two zones - sleeping and relaxing. Here the owner sits in his reading chair in the relaxation zone.

Anne Hindley and Dennis Daniel collaborated on this project. The stair rail is steel framed Danpal material that has been lit from within.

Planes of materials were used here to make this en suite composition. We have a skylight over the shower to make showering a transcendent experience, as it should be !
