Kirribilli Apartment
The client requested the new renovation to complement the stunning floor-to-ceiling views of Sydney Harbour with interior spaces that radiated sophistication, comfort and warmth.
To maximise the impact of the panoramic harbour views, existing ceiling cornices were removed and the original skirting was halved to overcome the apartment’s limited ceiling height. Ceiling grills and vents were streamlined to clear the spaces of any unnecessary distractions.
The existing dark interior was filled with a light and neutral palette, focusing on natural materials; solid timber floorboards, Calcutta marble in the bathrooms and kitchen and leather upholstery. While the living areas exude elegance, the master ensuite hides an element of surprise. A custom mosaic tile wall pops against the dark green tiles used elsewhere in the master bath.
