LEICHHARDT RESIDENCE
This home is an 1856 Victorian Terrace in all of its former glory. Studio Trio have reinstated the period feel but with a young country twist to suit the clients love of country style. Wainscotting wall paneling has been made and installed in their hallway featuring a stunning hunting scene wallpaper that is custom-coloured and hand painted for the regal feel. Silk curtains made by Studio Trio to bring that luxe look to the long and narrow house.
Studio Trio selected sofas and armchairs using American and English fabrics. Beautiful lighting added that opulence and drama to the smaller space. A collaboration of furniture has been brought together to give the space that antiqued style. Art, framing and accessories by Studio Trio sourced from various places including Antique dealers throughout New South Wales. Plate wall has the client’s plate collection from her travels abroad.
The kitchen has been boldly executed in a French Blue with use of Carrara marble, handmade butlers sink, English tapware and quirky period style oven. Integrated refrigeration and a butler’s pantry for clients love of cooking. Dramatic lighting was used to highlight the plasterwork, also selected by Studio Trio. Specially made cornices templated from original 1800’s. A south facing space is now illuminated with colour.
