To unify the mismatched elements of the exterior, the entire home was painted in a dark charcoal. Matt black accents were added, while a timber door provides warmth.

A matt black pendant was used to highlight the dining space in the open area, which looks through to the contemporary kitchen and out to the verandah via glass sliding doors.

Wire handrails were used on the upper level to keep the space feeling open and avoid detracting from the view. Downstairs a matt feature screen was used to create separation between the stairs and the hallway.

Midcentury furniture in neutral tones creates a simple backdrop for bold red and earth toned accents. A window seat built along the width of the room provides seating and storage, as well as filling some dead space at the end of the long area.

A beautiful timber vanity with marble countertop was the star of this midcentury bathroom. Hexagonal white tiles provide a crisp backdrop to matt black tapware.
