Waverely Council has engaged Sam Crawford Architects to redesign four coastal public amenities and community buildings; each in iconic locations. None more so than Bondi Beach, adjacent the recently completed North Bondi Surf Club, between Campbell Parade and the beach promenade. The existing 1980’s brown brick, pizza hut style building modeled on the former North Bondi Surf Club was stripped back revealing the large box like form of the Sydney Water Pump House to which it is attached is to be retained and reincorporated into the new building.
