Located in inner-city Melbourne this terrace courtyard required a complete makeover to create a low maintenance space that linked outdoor and indoor spaces. To do this, the existing home's rear entrance was enlarged with bi-fold doors and the floor level was pushed into the garden by means of an expansive timber deck. The existing patio roof was enlarged to create an all-weather retreat. Other features include clever storage and a drying court hidden by screens.
