Paddington House

A renovated terrace house in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, which originally felt extremely narrow and lacked natural light and storage space. The luxurious kitchen manufactured and designed by Woodstock features New Guinea Rosewood timber veneer, marble benchtops, and brass fixtures and fittings.

The combination of black and brass was one of the key themes in this kitchen. Black melamine carcasses fitted with black internal hardware was contrasted with brass shelf pins for adjustable shelving. Brass handles were installed on all drawers and doors. Woodstock also installed a solid brass kick fascia and capping above the ceiling shadowline.

Woodstock installed a custom made seating area which seamlessly adjoins to the kitchen cabinetry. Underneath the seating is space for additional storage. Without overhead cabinets, storage space was optimised in the butlers pantry, with multiple drawers, adjustable shelves and large overhead cupboards and lift up mechanisms.

To maintain the minimalistic aesthetic of the space, Woodstock installed a cantilevered shelf above the sink run and in the pantry. The shelf was custom made in brass and was installed on a secure black powder coated metal shelf.

The client was delighted with the resulting space.
