Project Golden Hour | Laundry & Bathrooms Update

The brief for this 70s brick home was to update the space to be more in keeping with modern day living, in terms of functionality, but retaining aesthetic aspects of the original design she loved such as the timber window architraves and doors, and overall 70s feel of the home.

We took inspiration for the project from existing glazed ceramic mosaic tiles that featured elsewhere in the home, and the client's love of earthy, warm, golden tones and favourite colour orange.
Fibonacci Terrazzo "the Sunbaker" which features orange stone flecks was selected for the flooring and vanity tops, and a refined beige inax mosaic tile with subtle variation creating a calming tonal shift throughout the space.

The Laundry was reconfigured and updated to feature improved storage and flow, and designed for flexibility with the laundry sink to double as a second morning prep area with multiple teenagers in the house. A pulley clothesline for airing/drying clothes was also included which is always a welcome option for our more sustainable focused clients.
