This project was the renovation of a tired Queenslander cottage into a contemporary city pad for its new owners. With city views to the south / south-east, the design focussed on ways to ensure the living spaces benefitted from both view and northern light. Specific design methods were used to maximise the compact block, create strong indoor - outdoor connections, and streamline construction and budget overall. The owners plan to sell it in a few years, so there was also consideration of market appeal for that time.
