Rendered Walls and Textured Glass
Two projects are shown here showing crisp rendered walls and one using stained glass panels within.
This restricted (approximately 3m by 5m) overlooked courtyard was an underused area of the garden. The brief was to bring the space back into use and provide a nice view from the family snug. The family use the space with colourful weatherproof bean bag seats. To bring in some year round colour three stained glass panels were constructed which were back lit to bring out the colours of the glass. The space was kept light with crisp white rendered walls and smooth travertine paving. Large grey cube planters against the house provided some greenery.
