Our client approached us after having purchased a house and then demolishing those parts which posed a safety problem. The design separated the new living and master bedroom from the existing house. New and old are connected by a glazed space internally and separated externally by a lower roof form.

A new living and dining area maximises the north aspect with an outdoor entertaining space and extensive glazing creating a light filled space. Full height windows and (external) doors contribute to the sense of space. Materials were selected with the aim to bring the new and old together.
