An addition + alterations to a Federation Bungalow to provide more space, light and connection with the secluded rear yard.

The owners came to us with a beautiful solid brick house that unfortunately had no connection with its west facing backyard outdoor space.

By siting the new contemporary addition on the south boundary we created new light filled north facing kitchen, dining and living areas with a more useful and pleasant side yard. The floor levels of the new extension closely followed those of the site to enable an easy access and relationship with the new yard and to create distinct yet connected spaces within.
