Marcel Wanders Skygarden Pendant Light was inspired by a house Wanders lived in that had an antique decorated plaster ceiling. Calling it his skygarden, Wanders enjoyed the beauty of this 'garden on the ceiling' and so when he moved into his new home, he didn't want to leave it behind. The skygarden is replicated in the intricate details inside this lamp shade, a piece of history secretly hidden inside a minimalist, modern design pendant light.

The Skygarden pendant is made from fibre glass and contains subtle and detailed carvings which bring the interior to life. A fluid floral procession runs through the entire pendant which is just a delight to view. This pendant can be found in cafes, bars and restaurants all around the world and is a piece which has found critical acclaim over the years.

Marcel Wanders co founded the design label Moooi, of which he is also art director. His track record in design is second to none and through collaborations has become one of the biggest names in design today, with over 30 designers and a presence in almost 80 countries around the world.
