Stage 1 House
Western Red Cedar cladding was utilised as the main cladding across the extension. The builder was able to match the timber battens to the profile on the tounge and groove to create a seamless exterior facade. The openings in the facade are hidden beneath the cladding whilst still allowing multitudes of light to enter the plan.
Close collaboration between the Architect, builder and Structural Engineer allowed a structurally impressive outcome. The timber windows slide out of the way, allowing the main living space to capture the entirety of the view through the enormous cantilever.
