Situated at one of the most magical locations of any project we’ve worked on, this apartment occupies half a floor of a building that elegantly hugs the coastline. It feels as though you could dive straight from the balcony into Tamarama`s crystalline waters.

The brief was to create a relaxed yet practical home with a barefoot vibe. We set about layering neutral yet texturally rich tactile materials - including handmade tiles, natural oak flooring, concrete pigmented flooring, and v-groove paneling - to seamlessly unify the sleeping spaces with the living spaces. A largely monochromatic palette is broken up by natural colors that speak to the surrounding ocean and coastline. The project was small, yet intensely satisfying.
