Terrace Lounge aims to challenge our perception of furniture in public spaces. Inspired by the organic forms found on the steep hills of Indonesian rice paddies, the work reflects my investigations into organic forms derived from nature, and how man-made interventions can adapt and adopt these patterns.

The work is highly sculptural, yet pragmatic in its consideration of function. The seat and table set has been designed for commercial settings including airports, shopping centres, cafes and office spaces. The seat is upholstered in a 100% sustainable, dual woollen blend, heavy duty commercial fabric. The Terrace Table Set is hand made from sustainably sourced Tasmanian Oak.
