The Trewin house

This home is the first WOLF ARCHITECTS has in a series of 3 to come by 3 different clients all bringing their dream of a sea view, wind swept, WOLF home to reality.
A contemporary home that works with the landscapes steep slopes as well as capturing the breathtaking sea views.
It was a site that felt very connected to nature so it was important to create a home that was both energy efficient and able to stand up to the test of time in both materials and style. The orientation of important rooms is carefully balanced between the Northern light and views. The pallet of Concrete, stone, brick, and rammed earth allows for low maintenance as well as good thermal mass.
Strict and geometry and proportions had to be adhered to for structural purposes and in order to achieve the timeless aesthetics.
The resulting home sits proudly and almost perfectly amongst its native context.
The owners are overjoyed and have remarked that “everyday feels like a blessing” in a such a home.
