Having designed a brand new house lower on the hill, the challenge was … how to transform an old brick and weatherboard building into a building that feels brand new and suitable to its location on the top of the hill?

The home features a central stair well from the ground to the roof terrace. This helps to deal with the cross fall on the site and allows each wing of the house to be separated by only a half flight of stairs.
