The clients love simplicity. They approached us to design a home that will be spacious, bright and cozy. This is a 5 room apartment with a sizeable living room which the client enjoys. They want to keep it very spacious and uncluttered. A continuous loop was conceptualised in the form of a black perimeter cove light. It leads one's eye from the entrance, around the living room and beyond into the black kitchen/dining portal; this layering of space made possible by the glassed up kitchen to maintain a visual connection. Functionally, this loop integrates the shoe cabinet, display, seatings, TV console and storage all together within the space. A consistent monochromatic scheme of black, white, grey with strategic amount of timber is also used across all areas of the apartment to complete the minimalist cozy design.
