A bachelor pad for a big hearted client who appreciates the finer things in life. He came to us to transform his 5 room HDB apartment into a spacious yet cozy home fit to entertain.

Inspired by loft apartments, the client loves the masculine and rustic qualities of black metal, cement, timber and bricks. Looking to knock down quite a number of walls to expand the kitchen/ dining and the Master Bedroom, we are left with many exposed beams; and as with all HDB apartments in Singapore, the unit also comes with a low ceiling slab. We see the exposed beams as an opportunity instead; and transformed them into exposed "steel beams" that not only add a lofty character to the space, but which also function as cove lighting for the apartment. In this way, the ceiling is kept clean at its maximum height.

Also a fan of Star Wars, the client had generously allowed us a go sparring with his light sabres during the photoshoot. Thanks!
