Bayview House - Interior Architecture
Set amongst the remnant rainforest of Bayview, in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, stands this sensitively placed bushfire resistant home, by Aatos Design.
The design, conceived as a pair of vertically staggered forms, layered one upon the other, angularly offset. The connection of these forms presents the inhabitant with an exact northern aspect, where the living space bathes in dappled sunlight and elegantly connects with the terraced lawn, to provide a seamless interaction between the home and it’s immersive, native rainforest.
The interior of Bayview House offsets it’s brave external structure and facade with warm, timber-lined floors, ceilings and cabinetry, juxtaposed against deep, natural hues, that further connect the building within its setting.
