This brief allowed us to work well within the complying development regulations and build a home that sits softly on the land.

Our specification of recycled timber beams (both internal and external), tallow wood decking boards allowed to weather grey, together with a neutral and organic colour scheme, will see this home age well in this beachside environment. Add to this our use of low maintenance steel gutters & roofing, powder-coated aluminium windows and nano coated easy-clean glass, means our clients can spend their time enjoying this home, rather than working to keep it clean.

A subtle, yet important aspect of this homes’ design is the creation of multiple outdoor areas that are each suited to different weather conditions, making the outdoors suitable for all seasons.
- the north facing ground floor deck is predominantly covered to provide summer shade as well as protection from the elements
