This mid 90 'architectural statement' was a little shabby, and in need of total refurbishment and additional spaces, and at one stage demolition was even considered. The proposed renovations and additions will now enhance the previous creative indulgences of this architecture , expanding on earlier concepts and replacing exterior and interior building fabrics that will stand the test of time aesthetically and also be resilient in the harsh coastal environment on the frontline of Port Philip Bay. The new exterior cladding by 'Decoclad' is guaranteed for 20 years and has an aluminium base that will require no maintenance, and with a colour selection that accentuates the articulation of this building a transformation becomes possible. New expansive windows open up views to Mt Martha and across to Melbourne.
