This project involved landscaping the whole garden, which had a fall of 10 meters over the site. The house has Arts and Crafts origins although it has been significantly extended. Some original garden features had been built over and an old Rose garden needed a new entrance to it and fountain for the reinstated pond. To create level ground, numerous retaining walls were required, up to 3 meters high. An old swimming pool was removed and replaced by an elegant dining terrace. The main paving is British sawn York stone. Decorative detailing, to echo the Arts and Crafts elements, have been added with brick and clay tile paving. The following have been added: a new garage, driveway, entrance gates and boundary walling, front garden, terrace for table tennis, sofa seating, dining and barbecue area, a swimming pool, summerhouse, trampoline area and sports lawn. There is a comprehensive irrigation and lighting system. The garden now provides activity space for a sporty family, distinct entertaining spaces and new planting throughout.
