Hawthorn Project 2
This red brick Federation style home in Hawthorn has a traditional front garden with a bluestone pedestrian path leading up to the front door and a large area covered with gravel. Garden beds filled with plants, feature trees, and creeping Wisteria soften the architecture of the house.
The graveled area continues down the side of the house to create a pathway leading to the rear. The side garden contains a number of perennials, Birch Trees and Boston Ivy, resulting in a lush green space.
In the rear garden, there is a simple family swimming pool with frameless glass fence and a lawn area with bluestone crazy paving leading to a bench seat shaded by two Forest Pansy trees.
A timber day bed has been built around an established tree near the outdoor entertaining area, providing the family with a place to socialise and relax.
This garden was designed and constructed by Ian Barker Gardens and his also maintained regularly by Ian Barker Gardens.
