Indigenous Styling for Family Home
A collectables haven - This client grew up in Papua New Guinea and ended up with lots of indigenous artwork and collectables. By editing the collection down, we were able to display all her favorite pieces it in a way that made sense. We grouped collections so that they had meaning and weren't overwhelming.
It was also important to create a welcoming guest space for when overseas family came to visit so we incorporated two matching single beds that had an indigenous flair.
The goal of the master bedroom was to create a more cozy feel so we used grass weave wallpaper to darken the room and create the ultimate effect.
New lighting was also introduced in the living, dining and hallway areas to defines each space.
