Kew House
Renovation of a large modern house built in the late 1960’s. The design sought to strip back and clarify the existing spaces, combining some and dividing others to produce new spaces adapted to the needs of the present occupants.
A minimal palette of materials and colours was a reaction to the frenzied palette of the original structure and an attempt to unify the newly created spaces, forging a link with the exterior.
Detailing throughout the house is kept sparse, focusing on the natural beauty of the stone and recycled timbers.
