A warm and inviting, yet simple and modern kitchen was to be created as per the brief. Focal point is the large island bench that also acts as a breakfast bar for the small family. Under­neath is additional storage that comes in handy in this mid-sized kitchen. The benchtops are made out of Caesar Stone while the cabinets have a polyurethane finish. An abundance of hard surfaces in a kitchen is unavoidable. To create more atmosphere, I added texture in the shape of Abaca pendant lights that are hanging over the island bench.
