This Caulfield apartment had not been renovated since it was built in the 70's. The owners wanted to update its look and prepare it for sale. Shmik in conjunction with builder Harmut Veit completely refurbished the very dated bathroom with feature tiles and new basin and shower recess. A stud wall was added to create two large bedrooms and walls were re-plastered and painted. The tired carpet was taken up and we applied a resin finish to the concrete floors giving them a lush glossy finish that did justice to this light filled apartment. Dated wallpaper was replaced with a fresh, sage green feature wall and the kitchen was given a refresh with a new deep teal cupboards to set off the existing walnut overhead cabinets. It was then fitted out with stylish mid-century looks to enhance and update the apartment's retro feel. At auction the apartment sold for well over the owner's reserve price.
