This tiny North Shore apartment had a mezzanine with the bedroom and ensuite on the upper floor, and a small living area and kitchen on the lower level. As the living area was placed at the entrance to the apartment, we wanted to keep the area as open as possible, using different rugs, textures and shapes to create interest in spite of the minimal pieces used. Creating a small study/work area in the living room also made it seem larger as it separated the space and gave the clients an alternative option on how to utilise it.
