Part of the brief for the renovation and extension of this 1900’s sandstone beauty was to create space for the family of six to be together during the daily routine and busy-ness. There also needed to be practical solutions to managing the challenges of a large family and of course it needed to be beautiful. The raked roof extension was designed around the north facing orientation of the back yard, access to the original underground cellar and the opportunity to expose and restore the old stone wall. A bathroom was transformed and a fourth bedroom / play room was created. We are thrilled that the kitchen of this home was included in House & Garden Australia’s Top 50 Rooms for 2017.
