This was an very narrow 3.8m wide terrace house that was very dark. We designed a new steel internal staircase into what was a small external courtyard , creating a flood of light inside and increasing the living and dining area. You will notice the car in the carport, its visible from the kitchen photograph. This external carport space is designed in such a way that with the car removed the client can entertain in style within a vine covered granite tiled courtyard , complete with uplighting and sculptural elements and a overhead vergola !
