This Yangebup home, despite being placed on a small block, features open plan living areas, ocean views and a striking cedar-lined balcony. In order to maximise the internal space of the home, we designed it so that the living areas were on the lower floor, and the bedrooms were upstairs, limiting the amount of hallway space used. The entry hall gradually widens towards the back of the house which gives an illusion of extra space – and stops the interior looking too angular and square. A skillion roof and mini-orb highlights add to the contemporary beach-side feel.
