Project Waverton
Experience the extraordinary transformation of a two-storey residential project in Waverton, Sydney. This captivating space, overlooking Sydney Harbour, was originally a plain rectangular box lacking character. With a vision to combat uninspiring geometry and an outdated kitchen, we took on the challenge of reimagining this space for a family of four – a wife, husband, and two teenage boys.
Our comprehensive role involved redesigning the spacial and ceiling plans, creating a new lighting scheme, procurement of all interior elements and products, and designing custom joinery. Drawing inspiration from the client’s tastes and desires, we developed a serene colour palette featuring neutrals, whites, natural oak tones, and pops of invigorating green.
The design concept embraced contemporary aesthetics, introducing sculptural and geometric elements to add intrigue and charm. Arches, inspired by an ancient Roman aqueduct, became a prominent motif, gracefully repeated in the kitchen island, wall cabinets, corridor, and master bedroom. A living room feature wall, open shelving in the dining area, and a custom-made credenza seamlessly fused soft curves with straight edges, creating a sense of balance and visual harmony.
The result is a timeless and emotionally pleasing design, offering a calming retreat that combines contemporary sophistication with elements inspired by the family’s travels.
