Spanish Mission Apartment
The philosophy behind this project was to create a home which maximises the charm of the 1920’s “Spanish Mission” style architecture, yet reflects the owner’s lifestyle and has a light, spacious and contemporary feel.
Layering colours and textures, we built up richness and personality in each room using the existing features as a starting point for the interior decoration scheme. The highly decorative plaster columns and ceilings were painted in a matt, natural white, giving them a uniform and contemporary appearance. This airy, light background creates the perfect backdrop for highly decorative and personal art and furnishings.
