Surrey Hills Extension
Alterations and additions to existing
2-storey brick veneer home to become
5-bedroom, 3-bathroom split-level home.
Construction Cost $300K
Completed in 2009.
Full Services.
With the client wishing to make significant additions whilst softening the prominence of the new extension and a 1980s 2nd storey addition, all new work was camouflaged by extending the roof lines and pitch of the existing terracotta tiled roof and re-interpreting the existing disjointed material palette.
Extensive hard-landscaping re-connected the inside and outside on a sloping site to cater for seasonal entertainment, leisure and a kitchen garden.
The builder was selected and the contract sum negotiated. Construction period was 7 months and staged to allow the owner to remain in occupation.
